About "Sector 3.0" Conference
The event is organized by the Polish-American Freedom Foundation and the Information Society Development Foundation. Similarly to the previous year, also this year the participants will discuss the role of new information and communication technologies in activities of nongovernmental organizations in Poland. The conference is the largest event of this kind addressed to NGO representatives, IT sector leaders, academics and all those for whom ICT implementation provides an opportunity to make their institutions more efficient.
This year, the conference is aimed at identifying the nongovernmental organizations’ technological needs and integrating the participants around five thematic blocks: ‘Modern Communication’, ‘People and Networking’, ‘Organization Management’, ‘Effective Fundraising’, as well as ‘Technology and Security’. The participants will also have the opportunity to get to know the examples of the implementation of new ICT solutions and good practices worked out both in Poland and abroad (e.g. in the USA).
The event comprises a few parts. The first one will be devoted to the presentations of both Polish and foreign speakers. During the second one the participants will take part in selected thematic blocks. That will be followed by the experts’ forum with the participation of speakers acting as moderators during the previous sessions, who will share their opinions and present recommendations for ICT implementation in nongovernmental organizations in Poland.
